Herringbone Necklace Needs Help !

I've been wanting to try the necklace design that uses herringbone stitch and a range of bead sizes. What I can't figure out is how to keep it from curving too steeply. It won't fit around the neck with this much curve, and it starts to curl when you try to straighten out the edge. I started over four times with different sizes and gave up after awhile, choosing just to add some brick stitch to the sides and a thin necklace chain. Any help will be welcome :P

If you work an extra row of each size of bead mayb ethat will help? It looks as if you're doing 2 rows of each size bead, would the pattern work with 3 rows of each or not?

Or are there any beads which vary less in size which you could introuduce between the existing sizes like an intermediate size?

Sorry probably not much help!

Oh its lovely by the way.

It looks to me as though the largest bead you used is to big. Did you use the same size beads on the last two rows? I like the color combination

Don't add the largest beads to every row, just pass the thread through the large beads from the previous row. Do this every 5th or sixth row, or whatever you need to maintain a gentle curve.
